Creamy Baked Chicken (Print)

Juicy chicken tucked under a melted cheese crust, packed with Italian herbs and silky cream cheese.

# Ingredients:

→ Main stuff

01 - 100 g shredded mozzarella
02 - 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
03 - 40 g fresh parmesan, grated
04 - 150 g cream cheese, room temperature

→ Spices

05 - 1 tsp dried Italian herbs
06 - A bit of salt, to taste
07 - 1 tsp garlic powder
08 - 1 tsp onion powder
09 - Freshly cracked black pepper, as needed

→ Oil

10 - 2 tbsp olive oil

→ Garnish if you want

11 - Fresh parsley, chopped

# Steps:

01 - Pop the chicken out of the oven and let it chill for a bit. Toss some chopped parsley on top if you feel like it.
02 - Slide the skillet into the hot oven. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes till the chicken's fully cooked and the cheesy top is nice and golden.
03 - Pull the skillet off the heat. Spoon the cheese blend over the chicken so every piece is covered.
04 - Add olive oil to a big oven-safe pan on medium-high. Brown the chicken for 3 to 4 minutes on each side till golden.
05 - Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel. Generously sprinkle both sides with pepper and salt.
06 - In a medium bowl, toss together mozzarella, parmesan, cream cheese, Italian herbs, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir it well and set aside.
07 - Crank your oven up to 190°C, both top and bottom heat.

01 - Using a pan that goes in the oven means fewer dishes and saves a bunch of time.
