Cheesecake Strawberry Treats (Print)

Fluffy cookies loaded with tangy cream cheese and fruit. Each one blends cheesecake and cookies for a treat to enjoy in under an hour.

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 ounces of softened cream cheese.
02 - 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder.
03 - 2 tablespoons of sugar for the filling.
04 - 1/2 cup of softened butter, unsalted.
05 - 1 teaspoon vanilla, divided.
06 - 1 large egg.
07 - 1/4 cup strawberry jam.
08 - 1/2 cup of crushed freeze-dried strawberries.
09 - 1 3/4 cups of regular flour.
10 - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda.
11 - 1/2 cup packed brown sugar.
12 - 1/2 cup regular sugar.
13 - 1/4 teaspoon salt.

# Steps:

01 - Stir together cream cheese, sugar, jam, and vanilla. Pop it in the fridge to chill for a bit.
02 - Whip butter and both types of sugar till it's fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla next.
03 - Stir salt, baking soda, baking powder, and flour together. Add it slowly to the wet mix.
04 - Mix in the freeze-dried strawberries. Let the dough chill for half an hour.
05 - Flatten dough, scoop some filling inside, pinch shut, and roll into little balls.
06 - Set balls on a parchment-lined sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes at 350°F till the edges are lightly golden.
