Beef Lombardi Pasta Bake (Print)

A cozy dinner mixing beef, noodles, and three cheeses in a tomato-rich sauce.

# Ingredients:

→ Meat & Base

01 - 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
02 - 1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes and green chiles (Rotel)
03 - 1 pound of lean ground beef
04 - 1 (14.5 oz) can petite diced tomatoes

→ Seasonings

05 - ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
06 - 1 teaspoon table salt
07 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
08 - 1 teaspoon onion powder

→ Pasta & Dairy

09 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
10 - 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
11 - 1 cup sour cream
12 - 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
13 - 12 ounces of egg noodles

# Steps:

01 - Preheat that oven to 350°F and grease your 9x13 pan so nothing sticks.
02 - Sauté your ground beef in a skillet until it's fully cooked and crumbly. Pour away the grease afterward.
03 - Mix the beef with all the canned tomatoes, tomato paste, and spices. Let it gently cook for 15-20 minutes to build up the flavor.
04 - Boil your egg noodles until just tender, drain them, and stir in the sour cream to coat them evenly.
05 - In the baking dish, layer your noodles, followed by the meat sauce, and then cover everything with cheese on top.
06 - Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly. Let it sit for 5 minutes before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Keep some pasta water handy to mix with sour cream for silkier noodles.
02 - To get richer taste, simmer the sauce for up to half an hour or longer.
