Cherry Chocolate Bites (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/3 cup cocoa powder.
02 - 17.25 ounces of cookie mix for sugar cookies.
03 - 1/4 cup of softened butter, unsalted.
04 - 1 large egg.
05 - 4 ounces of softened cream cheese.
06 - 1/4 cup heavy cream.
07 - 26 maraschino cherries, drained well.
08 - 1/2 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet).

# Instructions:

01 - Turn on your oven and set it to 350°F.
02 - Stir the cocoa powder and cookie mix together using a fork.
03 - With a mixer, whip together the cream cheese, butter, and egg until really creamy (about 2-3 minutes).
04 - Add the dry mix to the wet ingredients and stir until you’ve got a stiff dough.
05 - Drop balls of dough onto a baking sheet.
06 - Pop the cookies in the oven for about 10-12 minutes.
07 - While cookies are hot, use a teaspoon to press a dip in their centers.
08 - Set the cookies aside to cool completely.
09 - Microwave the cream for about 30 seconds until bubbling.
10 - Stir chocolate chips into the hot cream until it’s all melted together.
11 - Pour the chocolate into a plastic bag, snip off the corner, and you’re ready to pipe!
12 - Squeeze melted chocolate into the little wells in the cookies.
13 - Gently place a cherry into each cookie’s center.
14 - Spoon or pipe the leftover chocolate over the cookies for a finishing touch.
15 - Leave them for about 5 minutes to set before eating.

01 - Put parchment paper on your baking sheet for easier cleanup and baking.
02 - Cool the cookies on a wire rack placed over parchment to catch chocolate drips.
