Set your oven to 350°F. Line an 8x8 pan with parchment paper or give it a quick spray with non-stick spray.

In a bowl that’s big enough, stir the oats, salt, cocoa powder, and baking powder until it’s evenly blended.

Mix in the eggs, vanilla, syrup, milk, and melted oil or butter. Stir until smooth and lump-free.

Throw in your chocolate chips and gently mix them through. Pour this batter into your prepared pan and sprinkle a little extra chocolate on top.

Bake it for 30 to 40 minutes, until the center feels firm when lightly touched. Cool slightly before serving.

If you want to jazz it up, drizzle melted chocolate over the top. Add a pinch of flaky sea salt to round out the flavors.
