Cowboy Tater Beef Bake (Print)

Layers of tater tots, beef, creamy sauce, and cheddar come together for a cozy bite.

# Ingredients:

→ Main stuff

01 - 80 g chopped onion
02 - 450 g ground beef
03 - 120 g shredded cheddar cheese
04 - 900 g frozen tater tots
05 - 305 g condensed mushroom soup
06 - 240 ml sour cream
07 - salt, add as much as you like
08 - freshly cracked black pepper, as you want

# Steps:

01 - Take the hot dish out and let it chill a bit before you serve it up.
02 - Pop the whole thing in the oven for 25–30 minutes. Keep an eye on it—the tater tots should get crispy and nicely browned.
03 - Toss those frozen tater tots all over the cheesy layer. Make sure you cover it all in a single layer.
04 - Cover the entire beef mix with shredded cheese so it melts everywhere.
05 - Take your beef mix and spread it out in a baking dish (33 x 23 cm works great). Keep it even.
06 - Pour the mushroom soup and sour cream into your meat-onion mix. Stir until it's all mixed, then add salt and pepper.
07 - On medium heat in a big pan, cook up the beef and onions until the onions get soft and the beef isn't pink anymore. Drain any extra fat you see.
08 - Preheat your oven to 190°C (top and bottom heat).

# Notes:

01 - Want more veggies? Try adding sweetcorn or some green beans for extra goodness. Like it spicy? Toss in jalapeño slices.
