Put butter and cream cheese in a microwaveable bowl. Heat for 20-30 seconds until softened, then stir until smooth.

In a big bowl, combine chicken, rice, softened mixture, soup, garlic, Italian mix, broth, and one portion of cheese. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Pour the blended ingredients into the baking dish and level it out.

Scatter the remaining cheese evenly across the surface.

Cover the dish with foil and bake for about 20-25 minutes until the edges bubble and the cheese is gooey.
