moist apple bread cinnamon (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Bread Base

01 - 1/2 cup soft, unsalted butter
02 - 2 big eggs
03 - 2 teaspoons pure vanilla
04 - 1 1/2 cups plain flour
05 - 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
06 - 1/2 cup regular milk
07 - 2/3 cup white sugar

→ Filling

08 - 1 large apple, peeled and diced up small
09 - 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
10 - 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed

→ Icing

11 - 2 tablespoons milk
12 - 1 cup powdered sugar
13 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

# Instructions:

01 - Toss brown sugar with cinnamon in a little bowl. Smear butter or spray inside a 9x5 loaf pan and shake around a bit of flour. Set oven to 350°F.
02 - Cream butter and sugar until kind of fluffy. Toss in eggs and vanilla. Pour in flour, baking powder, then the milk—blend it all up.
03 - Drop in half the batter, sprinkle over half the apple pieces and generous cinnamon sugar. Do it all again with the rest.
04 - Push the topping down into the mix just a bit. Cook it for about 50 minutes. When it springs back, pull from oven and let sit in the pan for 10 minutes.
05 - Stir icing stuff in a cup till taken together and smooth. Splash icing over the cooled loaf.
