Spicy Chicken Garlic Ramen (Print)

Spicy chicken, dreamy garlic cream, and ramen noodles team up for the kind of heat and comfort you can't stop craving.

# Ingredients:

→ Chicken

01 - 2 tablespoons neutral cooking oil
02 - 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
03 - 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
04 - 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper
05 - 0.5 teaspoon chili powder
06 - 1 teaspoon paprika
07 - 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs

→ Ramen & Creamy Garlic Sauce

08 - 2 green onions, chopped
09 - 2 tablespoons soy sauce
10 - 120 millilitres heavy cream
11 - 240 millilitres chicken broth
12 - 4 garlic cloves, finely minced
13 - 2 packs ramen noodles, seasoning tossed out

# Steps:

01 - Throw those fresh green onions on top of each bowl and dig in while everything’s still piping hot.
02 - Grab some bowls, put the noodles in the bottom, pour over the creamy garlic sauce, and then load it up with the chicken slices.
03 - As the sauce simmers away, cook ramen noodles in a pot of hot water following what’s on their package. Drain ‘em and set aside once they’re just soft.
04 - Turn the skillet down to medium-low. Toss in that garlic and let it cook until it smells awesome, about half a minute. Pour in the chicken broth and soy sauce, scraping the pan for all the good bits. Mix in the cream, let the whole thing bubble for 5 minutes until it thickens up a bit.
05 - Splash some oil into your skillet and crank up the heat. Drop in the chicken and sear each side for around 4 or 5 minutes till they’re browned and cooked right through. Set the chicken aside to rest for a few before slicing.
06 - Toss your chicken thighs with black pepper, cayenne, garlic and chili powder, and paprika in a big bowl. Let it hang out for 15 minutes so the flavors soak in.

# Notes:

01 - Dial up or down the cayenne for your preferred spice level. Swirl in more cream if you like it extra rich. Want to switch things up? Go for tofu or shrimp instead of chicken. Extra ideas: put a soft-boiled egg, some sesame, or a little chili oil on top if you’re feeling fancy.
