Hawaiian Roll Sweet Toast (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 3/4 cup full-fat milk or half-and-half
02 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
03 - 1 pack (12 count) of King's Hawaiian sweet rolls
04 - 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
05 - 3 large eggs
06 - 4 tablespoons butter to fry with
07 - A tiny pinch of salt
08 - 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract

→ Toppings

09 - Drizzle of maple syrup
10 - Fresh berries or fruits
11 - Dusting of powdered sugar

# Instructions:

01 - Beat the eggs with the milk, stir in the vanilla, a pinch of salt, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
02 - Gently pierce the bottom of each bun a few times using a toothpick.
03 - Soak each roll about 30 seconds in the egg mixture, flipping to coat all over evenly.
04 - Fry the rolls in melted butter over medium-low heat, letting each side crisp up for 30 to 60 seconds.

# Notes:

01 - Don’t keep the rolls in the custard mix too long or they’ll fall apart.
02 - Carefully flip while cooking to prevent breaking.
03 - Top with your favorite extras and serve warm.
