Juicy Smash Burger (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Burger Ingredients

01 - 24 ounces ground beef (80/20)
02 - 8 strips bacon
03 - 4 small onions, thinly sliced
04 - 8 slices Cheddar cheese
05 - 3 tablespoons butter
06 - 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
07 - 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

→ Seasoning Mix

08 - 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
09 - 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
10 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
11 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
12 - 1/2 teaspoon salt

# Instructions:

01 - Combine the smoked paprika, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper in a tiny bowl.
02 - Roll the ground beef into 8 balls, each weighing about 3 ounces.
03 - Set your flat grill to medium heat. Fry the bacon strips until they’re crispy, 8-10 minutes, and let them rest on a paper towel.
04 - Throw butter onto the grill and melt it. Add the onions, toss them in the buttery goodness, and sprinkle with 1/4 of the seasoning. Stir frequently while cooking for 8-10 minutes until they’re golden and soft. Take them off the heat.
05 - Turn the grill to high and lightly coat it with vegetable oil.
06 - Sprinkle a little of the seasoning onto each beef ball. Place the beef onto the hot grill, with the seasoned side touching the surface. Use a weight and parchment paper to flatten the balls into thin patties, focusing on pushing out the edges.
07 - Create crispy edges by cooking the patties for about 2 minutes on one side. Flip them with a scraper after seasoning the exposed side.
08 - Swipe BBQ sauce on the freshly flipped side of the patties. Quickly add a slice of cheddar cheese on top and let it melt, which takes about 2 minutes.
09 - Stack two patties for a double burger setup. Place them onto buns alongside the bacon and caramelized onions, then serve right away.

# Notes:

01 - Eat these burgers hot, topped with bacon and caramelized onions on any buns you like.
