Easy Chicken Piccata (Print)

Juicy chicken in a tangy lemon and caper sauce. Cream adds richness if you like.

# Ingredients:

→ Chicken

01 - Boneless chicken breasts, sliced open
02 - Pepper and salt
03 - Powdered garlic
04 - Flour to coat

→ Sauce

05 - Butter, split into portions
06 - Extra virgin olive oil
07 - White wine or chicken stock
08 - Lemon juice with zest
09 - Capers, rinsed and drained
10 - Heavy whipping cream

→ Garnish

11 - Chopped fresh parsley
12 - Parmesan cheese, shredded

# Steps:

01 - Slice the chicken, season it, and coat it with flour.
02 - Sauté in hot oil and butter, cooking for about 4-5 minutes on each side.
03 - Mix broth, juice from lemon, butter, and capers. If using cream, add it now.
04 - Simmer chicken in the sauce for 5 minutes until it thickens up.

# Notes:

01 - Use 3/4 cup broth instead if skipping the cream.
02 - Don't swap out heavy cream for half-and-half.
