Burger Pie Pizza (Print)

Tasty beef, gooey mozzarella, and zesty peppers bring bold, classic American flavors every bite.

# Ingredients:

→ Filling

01 - 240 ml pizza sauce
02 - 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
03 - 0.5 teaspoon salt
04 - 1 teaspoon Italian herbs
05 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
06 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
07 - 500 g ground beef

→ Topping & Dough

08 - 1 beaten egg
09 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
10 - 50 g pepperoni, sliced
11 - 120 g shredded mozzarella
12 - 1 pack chilled pizza dough (about 250 g)

# Steps:

01 - Let your pie sit for 5 to 10 minutes so you can cut it easily.
02 - Slide onto the middle oven rack and bake 25 to 30 minutes till the crust's a nice golden brown and cooked through.
03 - Roll out the rest of your pizza dough and set it over the filling. Pinch the edges and brush that top with your beaten egg.
04 - Spoon the meat blend over the dough in your pan, cover with mozzarella, then toss on the pepperoni slices.
05 - Grease a typical casserole or tart pan with olive oil. Press half the dough along the bottom and up the sides.
06 - Add garlic powder, onion powder, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper to your beef, stir in pizza sauce, and mix well before removing from the heat.
07 - Crumble ground beef into a big skillet and fry over medium, about 5-7 minutes till it's cooked through. Drain off the fat.
08 - Fire up your oven to 200°C with both top and bottom heat.

# Notes:

01 - If you want a spicy kick, toss in some jalapeño slices while you're cooking the meat.
02 - You can swap ground beef for ground poultry if you want less fat.
