Spaghetti Garlic Bread (Print)

Crunchy bread packed with juicy spaghetti, meaty sauce, and melty cheese on top.

# Ingredients:

→ Bread

01 - Italian loaf, 450 g
02 - Butter for spreading
03 - Garlic powder for topping

→ Spice Mix

04 - 1 tablespoon Italian herbs
05 - 1 teaspoon salt and a pinch more
06 - 0.5 teaspoon minced garlic
07 - 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper

→ Pasta and Cheese

08 - 80 g mozzarella, split
09 - 60 g parmesan, split
10 - 200 g uncooked spaghetti

→ Meaty Sauce

11 - 450 g ground sausage
12 - 450 g ground beef
13 - 1 medium onion, diced
14 - 170 g tomato paste
15 - 450 ml tomato sauce

# Steps:

01 - Bake the stuffed bread for 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese is melty and golden. Take it out, let it cool just a bit, then use a bread knife to cut into pieces.
02 - Spoon the saucy spaghetti all over the bread boats you’ve made. Sprinkle both mozzarella and parmesan over the top of each half.
03 - Slice the loaf in half lengthwise and scoop out the inside so there’s a nice hollow. Smear butter all over the cut sides, dust it with garlic powder, and toast it in the oven till it’s golden.
04 - Add your cooked pasta to the sauce and stir until everything’s totally combined. Turn off the heat.
05 - Toss tomato paste, tomato sauce, Italian herbs, minced garlic, salt and pepper in with the meat. Stir it all up, then let it simmer on low for about 5 to 8 minutes.
06 - Cook ground beef and sausage together in a big pan over medium. Add the onion while it cooks, and let it all get nicely browned. Drain any extra grease and put the meat back in.
07 - Set your oven to 190°C top and bottom heat. Boil your spaghetti in plenty of salted water, then drain when it’s just right.

# Notes:

01 - A serrated bread knife is great for emptying out the loaf. Feel free to swap in another hard cheese if you’d like.
