Sweet Spicy Honey Chicken (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For the Chicken

01 - 2 chicken breasts, no bones or skin
02 - Pinch of salt and a dash of pepper
03 - 1 tbsp olive oil
04 - Half a cup of honey
05 - 4 tbsp soy sauce
06 - 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
07 - 1 tsp black pepper, ground
08 - Half a tsp of garlic powder
09 - 1/2 tsp onion powder
10 - 1/4 tsp cayenne for heat

→ For the Mac and Cheese

11 - 8 oz of macaroni noodles
12 - 2 tbsp of butter
13 - 2 tbsp plain flour
14 - 2 cups of milk
15 - Two cups of shredded sharp cheddar
16 - A cup of shredded mozzarella
17 - Pinch of salt and pepper to season
18 - Fresh parsley, chopped for sprinkling

# Instructions:

01 - Sprinkle salt and pepper over the chicken. Warm up olive oil in a skillet on medium, and fry the chicken, turning every 6-7 minutes, until golden on the outside.
02 - Toss honey, soy sauce, vinegar, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne into the same pan. Stir it around and let it bubble until it thickens after 2-3 minutes.
03 - After slicing the cooked chicken, toss it back in the skillet and coat it evenly with the sweet and spicy sauce.
04 - Cook pasta as explained on the package. In the meantime, melt butter in a pot, add flour, then keep stirring it around for a minute.
05 - Slowly whisk in milk until smooth, then heat until the mixture thickens in about 2-3 minutes. Take it off the heat and stir cheddar and mozzarella until it melts into the sauce.
06 - Combine pasta with the creamy cheese sauce. Add the chicken coated in honey sauce to the top, then sprinkle parsley before serving.

01 - Freshly grated cheese melts better and quicker
02 - The chicken works as a standalone dish too
03 - Change the cayenne amount for more or less spice
