Steak Bagel Cheese Egg (Print)

Warm bagel stuffed with steak, fluffy egg, sweet onions, and smooth sauce—super hearty to start your day.

# Ingredients:

→ For the Sandwich

01 - 1 tablespoon creamy breakfast sauce
02 - 1 slice of melty American-style cheese
03 - 1 toasted plain bagel
04 - 1 large egg
05 - 1 tablespoon milk
06 - 1 steak patty or 170g sliced beef steak
07 - 1 tablespoon butter
08 - 1 small onion, sliced

→ For the Breakfast Sauce

09 - 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
10 - 0.25 teaspoon onion powder
11 - 0.5 teaspoon sugar
12 - 0.5 teaspoon lemon juice
13 - 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
14 - 2 tablespoons mayonnaise

# Steps:

01 - Put the top bagel half over everything, gently press down, and eat while it's nice and hot.
02 - Spread the breakfast sauce all over both bagel halves. Stack the steak, caramelized onions, square-shaped scrambled egg, and a cheese slice onto the bottom piece.
03 - Whisk the egg with some milk. Melt the rest of your butter in the pan, pour in the egg, and let it cook while folding it gently into a square.
04 - Throw your steak patty or beef slices into that same pan. Brown on both sides for about 3-4 minutes each, until fully cooked and tasty. Pull it out and keep it warm.
05 - Start with half the butter in a pan on medium. Cook the onions until golden and soft, stirring every now and then, for about 5-7 minutes. Take off the heat and set aside.
06 - Mix mayo, mustard, lemon juice, sugar, onion powder, and garlic powder in a small bowl until smooth as can be. Set it aside for later.

# Notes:

01 - Want extra cheesiness? Just add another slice of Cheddar or Swiss.
02 - If you cook the onions a bit longer, they get even sweeter and richer.
03 - Try swapping in ribeye, rump steak, or roast beef for a different beef twist.
