Taco Doritos Bowl (Print)

A savory combo of rice, Doritos, ground beef and fresh toppings. Great to share at the table.

# Ingredients:

→ Basic Stuff

01 - 60 g Nacho Cheese Doritos, a bit crushed
02 - 480 g cooked rice (white, brown, or with Mexican spices)
03 - 1 packet taco seasoning
04 - 500 g ground beef

→ Extras for Topping

05 - 85 g black beans or corn
06 - 1 ripe avocado sliced up or 120 g guacamole
07 - 120 g salsa or pico de gallo
08 - 120 g sour cream
09 - 100 g shredded cheddar or a Mexican cheese blend
10 - 150 g diced tomatoes
11 - 80 g chopped iceberg lettuce

# Steps:

01 - Spoon some rice into each bowl and then pile on loads of taco beef.
02 - Cook rice following the package directions. Want more flavor? Try a splash of chicken broth or a pinch of cumin in the water.
03 - Pour the taco seasoning and water in, stir really well, and let it simmer about 5 minutes so everything soaks in.
04 - Toss ground beef into a big skillet, fry it over medium, crumble it up, and drain off any extra fat when it’s browned.
05 - Right before eating, sprinkle each bowl with a handful of crushed Doritos for some crunch.
06 - Toss on some lettuce, tomatoes, beans, and lots of shredded cheese if you feel like it.
07 - Top it all with spoonfuls of sour cream, salsa, and either sliced avocado or guacamole.

# Notes:

01 - Wait until the last second to add Doritos so they stay super crunchy.
