Tender Beef Rolls (Print)

Soft beef, a punchy filling, and bold, hearty gravy – this comforting classic is packed with tradition.

# Ingredients:

→ For rolling

01 - 240 ml beef stock, homemade is awesome
02 - 2 tbsp Dijon mustard for spreading
03 - 4 slices pickle, use dill or sweet, whatever you like
04 - 1 medium onion, chopped up
05 - 4 bacon slices, thick cut's best
06 - 450 g flank steak, sliced really thin

→ For flavor

07 - 2 bay leaves, yank them out before serving
08 - 1 tsp smoked paprika
09 - 1 tsp black pepper, go by your taste
10 - 1 tsp salt, or as much as you like

# Steps:

01 - Cut the rolls if you want, take out the toothpicks or string, then plate 'em and enjoy.
02 - Set Instant Pot to manual mode for 35 minutes and lock the lid.
03 - Pour in your beef broth, throw in paprika, bay leaves, salt, and pepper.
04 - Flick to Sauté on the Instant Pot and brown those rolls all the way around.
05 - Roll up the stuffed beef tight and use kitchen string or toothpicks to keep 'em closed.
06 - Stack a slice of bacon, some chopped onion, and a pickle at one end of each meat piece.
07 - Coat each beef slice with a thin layer of Dijon.
08 - Put the flank steak on a board and gently flatten it using a mallet for evenness.

# Notes:

01 - Serve these with mashed potatoes or roast veggies—they taste even better! Leftovers keep up to 3 days sealed in the fridge.
