# What You'll Need:

02 - 1 pound (450 g) of ground beef

→ Sauce Base

03 - 2 cups (480 ml) whole milk
04 - 4 tablespoons of plain flour
05 - 4 tablespoons butter

→ Cheese

06 - 2 cups (200 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
07 - 1/2 cup (50 g) optional ricotta cheese
08 - 1 cup (100 g) grated Parmesan cheese
09 - 1 cup (100 g) grated cheddar cheese

→ Vegetables & Aromatics

10 - 3 garlic cloves, minced
11 - 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
12 - 1 small onion, diced finely

→ Pasta

13 - 12 lasagna noodles, prepared as stated on the package

→ Seasonings

14 - Salt and black pepper, to taste
15 - 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
16 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
17 - 1/2 teaspoon of smoky paprika

# Steps to Follow:

01 - In a large pan, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, then drain any extra grease. Toss in the onions, garlic, paprika, and Italian seasoning. Cook until the onions soften. Stir in the crumbled bacon and adjust seasoning.
02 - In a medium pot, melt your butter and mix in the flour to create a paste-like roux. Gradually mix in the milk until it thickens up. Remove from the heat, stir in Parmesan, garlic powder, and some salt and pepper.
03 - Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch pan. Start with a thin spread of the sauce at the bottom, then layer 3 lasagna noodles, some meat, more sauce, and cheese.
04 - Continue layering noodles, meat, sauce, and cheese, finishing off with a good amount of cheese on top.
05 - Cover the dish with foil and bake for about 25 minutes. Then take off the foil and bake another 10-15 minutes until the cheese looks golden and bubbly. Let the lasagna sit for around 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Try layering sliced pickles for that classic cheeseburger feel.
02 - This dish can be prepped earlier and kept in the fridge. If you bake it cold, add another 10 minutes to the cook time.
