Use parchment to cover the base of a 9-inch baking dish.

Warm butter in a pan, mix in all but a single cup of your marshmallows, and stir on low until smooth.

Take off the heat, mix in vanilla, then add cereal and the last cup of marshmallows. Stir to coat.

Lightly press mixture into the dish using damp fingers. Give it an hour to cool before cutting.
