Sausage Gravy Breakfast (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Making Gravy

01 - 1 (16 oz) package of breakfast sausage
02 - 4 tablespoons (¼ cup) plain flour
03 - 2 cups of milk
04 - A pinch of ground black pepper or more, as you like it

→ Pizza Crust Prep

05 - One 12-inch ready-to-use pizza crust
06 - 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)

→ Egg Mixture

07 - 6 large eggs
08 - ¼ cup of milk
09 - Nonstick cooking spray

→ Toppings

10 - At least 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, add more if you want

# Instructions:

01 - In a pan, brown the sausage over medium heat for 5-7 minutes. Stir in flour and mix well. Slowly pour in the milk, stirring until it thickens, which takes about 10 minutes. Sprinkle in some pepper for taste.
02 - Preheat your oven to 400°F. Lay the pizza crust on a baking sheet, brushing with olive oil if you'd like. Spread a layer of sausage gravy over half the crust.
03 - Whisk the eggs with the milk until combined. In a greased skillet, cook them on low to medium heat, stirring occasionally, until just barely set—about 5 minutes.
04 - Spread the cooked eggs evenly across the gravy on the crust. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top to finish.
05 - Bake the pizza in the hot oven for 10 to 15 minutes, until the crust is golden and the cheese is all melty and bubbly.
06 - Give it a minute or two to cool down before slicing it up and serving warm.

# Notes:

01 - Homemade pizza dough works just as well as store-bought
02 - For extra flavor, consider adding green onions or a drizzle of hot sauce
03 - Great option if you’re making brunch or breakfast-for-dinner
