Peanut Butter Blossoms (Print)

Chewy peanut butter cookies coated in sugar and finished with a chocolate kiss on top. A delicious balance of sweet and nutty flavors!

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
02 - 1 1/2 cups plain flour
03 - 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
04 - 1/2 cup super soft unsalted butter
05 - 3/4 cup smooth peanut butter (JIF works great)
06 - 1/2 cup sugar for rolling later
07 - 1/3 cup white sugar (used in dough)
08 - 1/3 cup light brown sugar, packed tightly
09 - 1 large egg, brought to room temperature
10 - 2 teaspoons vanilla flavoring
11 - 28 frozen Hershey's Kisses, already unwrapped

# Steps:

01 - Toss together the flour, salt, and baking soda in a bowl. Keep to the side.
02 - Whip together the brown sugar, white sugar, peanut butter, and super soft butter until smooth as can be.
03 - Stir in the egg and vanilla until it all blends together nicely.
04 - Slowly fold in the dry ingredients with the wet mix until just coming together. Pop it in the fridge for one hour.
05 - Scoop out dough into balls (about 1 1/2 tablespoons each), roll them in sugar, and arrange them on prepared baking sheets.
06 - Pop in oven at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes till the sides are lightly golden. Stick a frozen kiss in each warm cookie right after baking.

# Notes:

01 - Let the dough chill for at least an hour first.
02 - Keep those Kisses cold so they stay firm.
03 - Stick leftover dough in the fridge while baking the rest.
