Baked Apple Crisp (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Apple Filling

01 - Granny Smith apples, peeled carefully and sliced thin
02 - Brown sugar for a rich sweetness
03 - All-purpose flour to thicken everything up
04 - Regular white sugar to even out the flavors
05 - Cinnamon, ground finely
06 - Nutmeg, freshly grated if possible
07 - Vanilla extract, the real deal

→ Crunchy Topping

08 - Flour, plain all-purpose
09 - Oats, the quick-cook kind for easy texture
10 - Pack down that brown sugar
11 - Made even better with cinnamon
12 - Just a little bit of salt
13 - Add baking powder to make it light
14 - Butter, unsalted and melted just right

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to preheat at 350°F (175°C). Grab a 9x13 dish and give it a light spray so nothing sticks.
02 - Take a large mixing bowl, throw in your sliced apples, and stir in brown sugar, regular sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and flour. Coat every apple slice nicely!
03 - Spread the apple mixture in the baking dish. Don’t pack them down too much—you want the juices to bubble through!
04 - In another bowl, combine oats, flour, packed brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and baking powder. Stir in your melted butter until it’s crumbly but moist.
05 - Evenly sprinkle the crumb topping on top of the apples to cover them completely.
06 - Throw it in the oven uncovered for 40-45 minutes. It’s done when the top looks golden and you see bubbling juices at the sides.
07 - Pull it out and let it sit for 5-10 minutes so everything stabilizes. Toss a scoop of ice cream on top to enjoy it perfectly!

# Notes:

01 - For extra texture, swap melted butter with cold butter—cut it in small pieces and crumble it in.
02 - A quick splash of lemon juice stops your apples from browning during prep.
03 - Your apples should end up soft but not completely mushy.
04 - Place a tray below your baking dish to catch any drips or bubbling juices.
