Fresh Caribbean Seasoning (Print)

Bold Caribbean-inspired herb mix with peppers, lime, and garlic. Whip it up for marinades or to boost flavor in dishes.

# Ingredients:

01 - 3/4 cup squeezed lime juice.
02 - 2 oz parsley (Italian variety).
03 - A stalk of celery, including the leaves.
04 - 6 chopped green onion stalks.
05 - 1/2 of a red bell pepper.
06 - 3 ounces of fresh cilantro leaves.
07 - A bunch of thyme, use fresh sprigs.
08 - 1 fiery scotch bonnet, seeds removed.
09 - 1 teaspoon of regular salt.
10 - 8 seeds of pimento, crushed up.
11 - 8 cloves of garlic, take off the peels.
12 - An inch of ginger, peeled first.

# Steps:

01 - Chop veggies roughly and pull off thick herb stems.
02 - Throw it all in a food processor and pulse till it’s the way you like it.
03 - Stick it in a sealed container and put it in the fridge or the freezer.

# Notes:

01 - 1 tablespoon works for every pound of meat.
02 - Stir into oil to make a marinade.
03 - It lasts a week chilled or three months if frozen.
