Wait about 5–10 minutes so everything sets. Slice it up, scatter fresh parsley if you like, then dig in.

Add cheddar all over the top. Put it back in for 10–15 minutes until that cheese is gooey and a nice golden color.

Carefully layer your seasoned potatoes across the meat. Try to spread it out evenly.

Warm the potatoes a bit. Throw in butter and sour cream, mix them in, and salt and pepper until it tastes just right.

Push the meat mixture into your pan so it’s even. Bake for 20–25 minutes, uncovered.
