Fresh Orange Sweet Rolls (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Yeast Mix

01 - 2 tablespoons sugar, granulated
02 - One instant yeast packet (0.25 oz)
03 - 1/4 cup water, warmed

→ Milk Mix

04 - 1/4 cup sugar, granulated
05 - 4 tablespoons butter (unsalted)
06 - 3/4 teaspoon table salt
07 - 1 cup milk

→ Dough

08 - 4 cups all-purpose flour
09 - 1/3 cup instant potato flakes
10 - One large egg, beaten
11 - 1/3 cup hot water

→ Orange Filling

12 - 2 teaspoons orange peel zest
13 - 1/2 teaspoon powdered ginger
14 - 1/4 cup orange juice, freshly squeezed
15 - 3 tablespoons soft butter, unsalted
16 - 1 cup sugar, granulated

→ Orange Topping

17 - 1 cup powdered confectioner's sugar
18 - 4 oz cream cheese
19 - 2 tablespoons orange juice, fresh
20 - 2 teaspoons orange peel zest

# Instructions:

01 - Mix yeast with warm water. Heat milk until scalded, then stir in other milk ingredients. Let it cool down afterward.
02 - Stir hot water and potato flakes together. Blend this with the egg, along with the prepared yeast and milk mixtures. Add flour and knead for 5-10 minutes.
03 - Put the dough in a greased bowl and let it rise for an hour in a warm spot. While waiting, combine everything listed for the orange filling.
04 - Roll the dough flat, spread the softened butter on top, and layer evenly with orange filling. Roll up tightly, then slice into 12 portions.
05 - Let the rolls puff up again for 30-60 minutes. Bake them in a 350°F oven for 20-25 minutes. Once baked, spread the orange glaze over the top.
